Frequently Asked Questions

What can you print onto?
We can print onto pretty much anything. Our main processes are to print onto paper, card and board, but we can print onto most things that can take a print which includes clothing, gift items, deskware and more...
Do you have a minimum order quantity?
Not for print onto paper, card and board, you can order just one if you needed but obviously it works out more cost effective to get more if you can. Some gift and promotional material items may have minimum order quantities but most have options for just one if required.
What are the turnaround times?
This does depend on what we are printing and what quantity but for a guide typically our turnaround times for standard print and trim jobs up to 2000 are 3 working days. above this or with additional finishing would be 6 working days. If producing artwork this would be 3 working days to complete, please allow longer if amends are required. Once approved it would then be the print time on top. Perfect bound books can be up to 9 working days due to the processes. Other items such as gift items and promotion materials have varying turnaround times with most having their estimated turnaround times on each product. If any don't show this please do get in touch.
What are your opening hours?
We are open Monday to Friday, 830am to 430pm. Sorry we are not open at weekends we need our family time.
Can I supply my own material or garments?
Yes you can indeed, all we would say is that as it is supplied we would not know how it will behave so all quality concerns that may arise would be at your own risk.
Supplying your own clothing or garments can most likely be embroidered and printed with DTF but less likely to work with DTG due to material used or coatings.
What are the advantages of digital printing over traditional printing?
Digital printing offers faster turnaround times, cost-effective short runs, variable data printing, and the ability to print on demand with minimal setup.
Is digital printing environmentally friendly?
Digital printing can be more environmentally friendly than traditional methods as it often generates less waste, uses fewer chemicals, and allows for on-demand printing.
What types of products can be created through digital printing?
Digital printing is versatile and can be used for various products, including business cards, brochures, booklets, banners, apparel, event signage, and more.
How do I print digital art?
To create physical prints of your digital artwork, this can be done with a good at-home printer. If you’re looking to sell your artwork, it is better to use an established printing company for a reliably professional result.
What areas can you cater for?
We are a local business that provides our services in and around Peterborough. This includes areas such as Crowland, Stamford, Sawtry, Thorney and more. However with our partnered courier we can print and ship nationwide with ease so feel free to use our services if local or not.

I am not print savvy. Can you still help?
At GP Print in Peterborough, we ensure that you can understand what you are getting by using jargon-free language. So, in short, you don't have to be a print expert to be able to find and purchase the right print product for you.
What is the best image quality to print with?
For optimum print quality, the resolution should be at least 300 dpi. Dots per inch (dpi) refers to the number of dots in an image that fit within an inch.
How hard is it to create a booklet or leaflet?
Creating a booklet can be relatively easy using various software and online tools. For instance, Microsoft Word, Canva or Adobe InDesign provide easy-to-use features to create a booklet, allowing users to adjust layout settings and page setup for booklet printing.
What do you mean by print-ready?
Print-ready indicates that the file you are sending is prepared for printing as you intended. It refers to digital creative files that have been created with the right colours and margins to suit the size of the paper.
How can I get a quote for printing services?
If you want your imagination and design ideas to come to life, GP Print is happy to help. Just give us a call, email or get a quote by clicking the bottom above.
Why have we received a pro-forma invoice when we have a credit account?
We always send out pro-forma invoices when raising an order this gives the opportunity to raise any concerns with the invoice before printing rather than after the job is completed. When accounts are created the invoice will show the due for payment date towards the bottom of the invoice as being 30 days from the raise date so will not be due for payment till then.
